Overview
This article covers the various features and functionality available in the AMS+ Talk & Text mobile app.

Settings
Access the Settings menu by tapping the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the app.
From here, you can:
- Enable Do Not Disturb mode
- Access support resources
- View the current app version number
- Log out of AMS+ Talk & Text
Note: When Do Not Disturb is enabled, a banner will appear at the top of the app to indicate that the setting is active.
Recent conversations
You can view your recent call activity by selecting the Recents tab at the bottom of the app.
This section provides a history of:
- Missed calls
- Inbound calls
- Outbound calls
From the Recents view, you can:
- Tap All or Missed to switch between viewing all recent calls or only missed calls.
- Tap the three-dot menu next to a recent call to make a call, send a text message, or view contact information.
Voicemails
View your voicemails by tapping the Voicemail tab at the bottom of the app.

From this view, you can:
- Tap All or Unplayed to switch between viewing all voicemails or only unplayed voicemails.
- Tap the voicemail box filter to view voicemails for a specific voicemail box. This is useful if your agency uses an IVR menu or has multiple VoIP phone numbers.
- Tap the three-dots menu next to a voicemail to mark it as played or unplayed or view contact details.
- Tap a voicemail message to open it and:
- Listen to the voicemail.
- View the voicemail transcript.
- Delete if you no longer need it.
- Call the contact.
- View the contact’s details and call history.
Note: Voicemail transcripts are available to read directly in the mobile app. General call recordings must be reviewed in the web version of AMS+.
Dialer
To make an outbound call, tap the Dial tab at the bottom of the app. Enter the phone number using the dial pad and tap the green phone button to initiate the call.
Once the call is connected, in-call options include:
- Mute or unmute your microphone
- Enable or disable speakerphone
- Place the call on hold
Tap the red phone button to end the call.
Searching and viewing contacts
You can quickly find specific contacts within the app using the search bar at the top of the screen:
- Tap the search bar.
- Enter a name or phone number.
- From the results, tap the contact's name to open their details and call history.
Once you've selected a contact, the Contact Info page will display:
- The contact's details, including full name and any associated phone numbers
- Their call, voicemail, and message history
You can also access the Contact Info page by tapping the three-dot menu next to a contact on the Recents or Voicemail tabs and selecting View Contact.
Note: The Contact Info page displays call, voicemail, and message history for Individual records. It does not include all details from their AMS+ record.
Inbound calls
As long as you are logged into the app, inbound calls will be routed to AMS+ Talk & Text and can be answered from your mobile device. You do not need to keep the app actively open to receive calls.
Note: If you no longer wish to receive calls on your mobile device (for example, when you're back in the office or outside business hours), log out of the app through the Settings menu or enable Do Not Disturb.
Messages
View and manage your text message conversations by tapping the Messages tab at the bottom of the app.
