Prepare Ease data for import
1. Add Ease data to the AMS+ import template
-
Download the Groups with Policies (.csv) import template.
You must be an administrator in AMS+ to download this template. -
Copy and paste these values from the Ease ‘Plan Premium’ report into the import file.
Include one row for each Policy you want to add to AMS+.
Note: If a Policy has multiple Coverages/Carrier Products, the additional coverages will need to be manually added after the import. -
Save the file in CSV format.
Use a clear file name such as "Ease Company and Policy Import" for easy reference.
If you want to import the Group addresses and phone numbers:
-
Download the ‘Company Report’ in the Available Reports.
screenshot - Copy and paste these values into the same Groups with Policies (.csv) import file.
- Save.

Matching criteria for existing records
During the import process, AMS+ checks for potential duplicates using the following matching fields:
- Policy: Policy Number
- Policy: Coverage Type
- Group: Group Name
- Carrier: Carrier Name
- Agent: First Name
- Agent: Last Name
To avoid duplicates or conflicts, ensure these values are accurate and consistent with existing AMS+ records.
3. Import the completed template
Before importing your completed template, take and complete our Import New Data Academy Course. This course walks you through each step of the process, ensuring you're fully prepared and confident to perform a successful import on your own.
Once you've finished the course, return to AMS+ and follow the instructions provided to upload your import file.
Note: Make sure no one else is creating new records while you're importing the data to reduce the likelihood of duplicates.
