This article explains how to activate and configure Scope of Appointment (SOA) forms in AMS+ to support Medicare compliance requirements.

Requirements
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User.
- You must be assigned to a Security Group with the Manage User and Sales Enablement Visible permissions.
How to activate SOA forms
- Go to My Agency Settings.
- Find and open the Optional Features setting.
- Locate the Electronic Scope of Appointments section, and check the Enable Electronic SOA Forms checkbox.
- Choose Submit Settings to save.

How to configure SOA settings
Once SOA forms are activated, review and configure the following settings under My Agency Settings > Optional Features > Electronic Scope of Appointments:
- Automatically check all coverage types on the SOA Form
- Default plans to represent
- Signature method
- Email templates
- Success URLs
Note: Remember to choose Submit Settings after making any changes to save and apply them. If you leave the page without saving, your updates will be lost.
Automatically check all coverage types on the SOA Form
Enable the Automatically Check All Coverage Types on SOA Form setting if you want all coverage options to be pre-selected by default for clients.
Default plans to represent
In the Default Plans to Represent field, enter the plan names you want to appear on every SOA PDF generated for agents.
Signature method
Choose between the following signature methods:
- "Typed In" (default)
- "Signature Pad"
Select the option that best fits your business processes.
Email templates
Customize the default English and Spanish templates used when sending SOA requests. These templates can reflect your agency's branding and messaging.
Success URLs
After a client completes an SOA form, you can redirect them to a landing page:
- Use the default confirmation page, or
- Check the Custom URL box and enter a custom link to your agency's site.
