Overview

Scope of Appointment (SOA) forms are federally required documents that define which Medicare topics an agent may discuss with a client during an appointment, supporting transparency and compliance with CMS guidelines. In many cases, CMS requires that SOAs be collected at least 48 hours in advance, particularly for telephonic or virtual appointments.

AMS+ helps streamline SOA management by enabling agents to send, track, and securely store electronic forms via email or text. These capabilities support timely documentation and adherence to CMS rules, helping reduce compliance risks and allowing you to focus on serving your clients.

• Sales Records and Individual Records must be assigned to a Servicing Agent in AMS+ and:
  • A valid email address is required to send SOA forms by email.
  • A valid cell phone number is required to send SOA forms by SMS text message.
