This article covers how to set up the RetireFlo integration in AMS+ and how data from RetireFlo flows into your Individual Records.
RetireFlo is a client intake tool for Medicare and ACA agents. Before an appointment, an agent sends their client a RetireFlo link. The client fills out their prescriptions, physicians, and pharmacies directly. When the integration is active, RetireFlo automatically sends that completed intake data into AMS+, eliminating manual re-entry before quoting. The data is written directly to the client's Individual Record.
Requirements
- Your agency's AMS+ account must be subscribed to the Accelerate or Elevate package.
- To activate or deactivate the RetireFlo integration:
- You must be the Account Owner.
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User.
- You must be assigned to a Security Group with the Manage Users permission.
- To view and edit Individual Records where RetireFlo data is written:
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User or Agent CRM User.
- You must be assigned to a Security Group with the Individual Visible and Edit permissions.
- If you're an Agent CRM User, you need access to Individual Records assigned to your Accessible Agent, and optionally unassigned records.

How the integration works
The RetireFlo integration is one-way: data flows from RetireFlo into AMS+ only. When a client completes a RetireFlo intake, RetireFlo sends the prescription, physician, and pharmacy data to AMS+. AMS+ then either matches the incoming record to an existing Individual Record or creates a new one, and writes the Rx Collect data to that record.
Setting up the integration involves two levels:
- Agency level - The Account Owner activates the integration in AMS+.
- User level - Each user connects their AMS+ account inside RetireFlo using their AMS+ login credentials once, and optionally selects a servicing agent to assign to newly created Individual Records.
Set up the integration
For the Account Owner
Activate the integration for your agency
The Account Owner must activate the RetireFlo integration before users can connect their accounts. Admins who are not the Account Owner can deactivate the integration but cannot activate it.
- Go to My Agency Settings.
- Find and open the Third Party Integrations setting.
- Select RetireFlo from the integration list.
- Select Add to AMS+.
Note: If you are not the Account Owner, the Add to AMS+ button is not shown.
- The RetireFlo integration becomes active for your agency. AMS+ generates the credentials RetireFlo needs to send data to your agency. Share these credentials with your RetireFlo account representative to complete the agency-level connection on RetireFlo's side.
To deactivate the integration, select Deactivate from the same page. Deactivation is available to all admins.
For users
Connect your AMS+ account in RetireFlo
Once the integration is activated in AMS+, each user must connect their AMS+ account inside RetireFlo. This is a one-time step done from within RetireFlo, not from AMS+.
- In RetireFlo, select Add AgencyBloc.
If you are not already logged into AMS+, you will be taken to an AMS+ login screen.
- Log in with your AMS+ credentials to authorize the connection.
If you are already logged into AMS+, the connection is established automatically.
Note: Your connection stays active as long as you are submitting intake data through RetireFlo regularly. If no data is submitted for 30 days, your connection will expire and you will need to reconnect by selecting Add AgencyBloc in RetireFlo again.
Select a servicing agent
Each user can optionally select a servicing agent to assign to any new Individual Records created from their RetireFlo activity. This is a per-user setting and defaults to no selection. If no servicing agent is selected, Individual Records are still created, just unassigned.
- Go to My Account.
- On the Integrations tab, select RetireFlo.
- Start typing your name in the Servicing Agent field and choose it from the list of available options.
The list is limited to the agents you have access to. You can clear your selection at any time to return to no assignment.
- Select Save.
Note: The servicing agent selection applies only to newly created Individual Records. If an incoming RetireFlo record matches an existing Individual Record, the existing servicing agent on that record is not changed.
What data flows into AMS+
When a client completes a RetireFlo intake, the following information is written to the Rx Collect > Prescription and Providers tabs of their Individual Record in AMS+.
Prescriptions
- Medication Name
- Dosage Name
- Quantity
- Package size
- Refill Frequency
- Generic OK (Yes or No)
Pharmacies
- Pharmacy Name
- Pharmacy Address
Providers
- Doctor Name
- Provider Address
All pharmacies and providers from the RetireFlo intake are written to the record regardless of quantity.
If an Individual Record already has Rx Collect data from a previous RetireFlo intake, the existing data is fully replaced with the new intake data. When a match is found, demographic information may also be updated. See Demographic updates for details on what changes and what doesn't.
Note: Rx Collect data written by RetireFlo does not trigger Enhanced Automated Workflows. However, if RetireFlo updates demographic information on a matched Individual Record — such as email, phone, or address — those updates can trigger Enhanced Automated Workflows that fire on updates to Individual Records. Additionally, Enhanced Automated Workflows that include Individuals created from a partner tool (integration) will run when RetireFlo creates a new Individual Record.
How records are matched and created
When AMS+ receives intake data from RetireFlo, it attempts to match the incoming record to an existing Individual Record in your account. AMS+ matches on first name and last name. When the incoming record includes a date of birth, it must also match.
- If a match is found — AMS+ writes the Rx Collect data to the matched Individual Record and updates demographic fields as described in Demographic updates.
- If no match is found — AMS+ creates a new Individual Record and writes the Rx Collect data to it.
Note: If two Individual Records share the same first and last name and only one has a date of birth that matches the incoming record, AMS+ matches to the record with the matching date of birth.
Demographic updates
When an incoming RetireFlo record matches an existing Individual Record, AMS+ updates demographic information on that record. Because first name, last name, and date of birth are the match criteria, those fields are never changed by an update.
| Field | Behavior on match |
|---|---|
| First name | Never updated — used as a match key |
| Last name | Never updated — used as a match key |
| Date of birth | Never updated — used as a match key |
| Overwritten with the incoming value. If the intake does not include an email, or includes an empty value, the existing email is left unchanged. | |
| Phone | Home phone is never changed. If the incoming phone differs from the existing home phone and no cell phone exists on the record, it is added as a cell phone. If the incoming phone matches the existing home phone, nothing is added. |
| Address | If the incoming address does not match any existing address on the record (matched on ZIP code and house number), it is added as a new address entry. A matching address is not duplicated. |
