12/19/2023 - Global navigation updates and other enhancements

In this update, we enhanced the global navigation of our app to improve user experience. While you may notice changes in how you navigate, these updates focused solely on design enhancements and didn't alter any core functionalities. See below for before-and-after visual comparisons of these changes.

Updates to app header icons and navigation

Summary of changes:

a. The bell icon changed to an email icon. The icon menu includes a link to unassociated emails (from Outlook Email Sync). The previous link to unassociated Activities was moved to the new clipboard icon’s menu.

b. The tray icon changed to a clipboard icon. The icon menu shows the counts of past due Activities, Activities due today, and open Activities. These counts continue to link to the respective Activities Dashboard views. The menu includes a new link to create new Activities, as well as the link to unassociated Activities (from Email Forwarding and Outlook Email Sync).

c. The calendar icon only changed visually for a more modern appearance, and it continues to link to the Calendar page.

d. The help icon only changed visually for a more modern appearance, and it continues to link to AgencyBloc’s Knowledge Base.

e. The profile icon only changed visually for a more modern appearance, and it continues to link to the My Account page.

Changes to +New menu navigation

Summary of changes: In the +New menu, we removed the links to create new Activities, Sales Opportunities, Email Campaigns, and Automated Workflows. This functionality did not change nor was it  removed. You can still initiate these actions from the following areas as you always have:

• Activities can still be created from the new clipboard icon in the header navigation, on the Activities tab or right-hand summaries of Agents, Carriers, Groups, Individuals, and Policies, the Calendar, and the Activities Dashboard.
  
• Sales Opportunities can still be created on the Opportunities tab or right-hand summaries of Groups, Individuals, and Policies, as well as the Sales Pipelines and Sales Opportunities pages.
  
• Email Campaigns can still be started on the Email Marketing page.
  
• Automated Workflows can still be built on the Automated Workflow page.
  

Updating layout of left-hand navigation

Summary of changes: We grouped the navigation links into meaningful categories and made each category expandable and collapsible so you see only what you want to see.

Consolidating contact info on Agent and Individual Detail tabs

On Agent and Individual records, phone numbers and addresses were stored in two separate subsections under Contact Info. With this update, we combined the sub-sections, so phone numbers and addresses are shown in the same section.

How you add phone number and address information did not change. Also, existing phone numbers and addresses were not affected.

Changing date field to better facilitate copying and pasting date values

We updated the date fields to better facilitate copying and pasting date values. It may vary depending on your computer's operating system and browser, but in general, you can copy and paste using keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+c to copy and ctrl+v to paste).

You could also double-click into the date field and then right-click to display a dropdown menu with the copy/paste options.

New filters for Individual Advanced Search

This update added two new filters to the Individual Advanced Search: Exclude Deceased and Policyholder.

• Exclude Deceased: If enabled, Individuals with a deceased date will not be included in the search.
• Policyholder: You can choose whether to include Individual Policyholders only or non-Policyholders only.
