CSG Actuarial is a support tool for insurance agents targeting the senior market that helps with product pricing, development, underwriting research, and agency appraisals.
Integrating CSG with AMS+ lets you run quotes directly within AMS+ from Sales Records and save to Sales Records as PDFs without needing to switch tabs or windows. Please note that this integration does not sync any enrollment data.
Requirements
- You must be assigned to a Security Group with the Sales Enablement Visible permission.
- To activate the integration in My Agency Settings:
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User and be assigned to a Security Group with the Manage Users permission.
- To run quotes on Sales Records:
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User or Agent CRM User.
- You must have the View permission enabled for at least one Sales Record Type.
- To add information to a Sales Record needed to run quotes, you must also have the Edit permission enabled for at least one Sales Record Type.

Activating and setting up the integration
To activate this integration, you must have a CSG account and an API key. You will have to reach out to CSG for your API key.
Once you have your API key:
- Go to My Agency Settings.
- Find and open the Third Party Integrations setting.
- On the CSG Actuarial page, enter your API key.
- Check the checkbox next to each product line that you want to start a quote with.

In your CSG account, you must be authorized for each product line (e.g., Med Supp, Med Adv, Final Expense) you want to quote. If you're not authorized, CSG will return an authorization error when you try to run quotes.
When the account-level Match my Carriers with CSG Carriers checkbox is checked, the integration will only run quotes with carriers that match a Carrier Name in your AMS+ account. If unchecked, it will run quotes with any carrier in CSG, but users will still have an Our Carriers Only option that does the same for each separate quote.
- When ready, select Submit to save your changes and activate the integration.
Starting quotes in AMS+
Go to a Sales Record and select the Start Quotes button to show a dropdown list. If the CSG integration is enabled, you will see additional menu actions for the products specified in your account's CSG integration settings.
Select one of the menu actions to start quoting. The Sales Record must have a date of birth, smoker status, and gender. If you're running Med Supp or Med Adv quotes, the record's age must be at least 65 to qualify for any plans.
- Include Household Discount: If checked, the monthly rate will be adjusted to include the household discount.
- Our Carriers Only: If checked, the quote will only show carriers that exactly match the names of Carrier Records in AMS+.
You can save a copy of the displayed quote results to the Sales Record by selecting the Save Quote button. This will prompt you to name the quote.
After entering the name, a PDF copy of the quote screen will be generated and saved to the Sales Record under the Notes tab.
