This article explains how to create and manage SMS text message templates in AMS+ for use on Sales Records.
SMS templates allow you to create reusable messages to save time and maintain consistent communication. Templates can be used when sending direct text messages and appointment reminders from Sales Records only. SMS text templates are not available for Agent Records, Individual Records, or Sales Automated Workflow texting actions.

Requirements
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User.
- You must be assigned to a Security Group with the Sales Enablement Visible and Manage Users permissions.
Create an SMS text message template
- Go to My Agency Settings > Marketing Templates.
- Select the Add Text Message Template button.
- Enter a name for the template.
Use a descriptive name so others understand its purpose.
- Enter the message content.
You can personalize messages using Snippets.
- Example:
- Name: “Calendar Availability”
- Message: “Here’s my availability to choose from #AGENTCALENDARLINK# or you can reply with when would be best for you.”
- Example:
- (Optional) Select This message is available for all users if you want the template to be accessible to other users.
If not selected, the template will only be available to you.
- Select the Submit button.
After saving, you can use the template when sending a text from a Sales Record. You may send the template as written or customize it before sending.
Note: SMS templates are not available for Agent Records or Individual Records.
