This article explains how to use the Overview tab on Individual records in AMS+.
Requirements
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User or Agent CRM User.
- You must be assigned to a Security Group with the Individual Visible permission.
- If you’re an Agent CRM User, you need access to Individual Records assigned to your Accessible Agent, and optionally unassigned records.
- To add Activities, Policies, or notes, your assigned Security Group must also have the Individual Edit permission.
- To call a contact:
- Your agency’s AMS+ account must be subscribed to the Elevate package.
- Your agency’s AMS+ account must have at least one VoIP phone number. Learn more.
- Your assigned Security Group must also have the Sales Enablement Visible permission.
- To send an SMS text message:
- Your agency’s AMS+ account must be subscribed to the Accelerate or Elevate package.
- Your agency’s AMS+ account must have at least one VoIP phone number. Learn more.
- Your assigned Security Group must also have the Sales Enablement Visible permission.
- To send an Rx Collect request:
- Your agency’s AMS+ account must be subscribed to the Accelerate or Elevate package.
- Your assigned Security Group must also have the Sales Enablement Visible permission.
- You must have added your phone number, signature, and sales rep ID to your My Account profile settings. Learn more.
- To send a Scope of Appointment (SOA) form:
- Your assigned Security Group must also have the Sales Enablement Visible permission.
- You must have added your phone number, signature, and sales rep ID to your My Account profile settings. Learn more.
- To send an ACA form (Consent to Contact or Attestations):
- Your assigned Security Group must also have the Sales Enablement Visible permission.
- You must have added your phone number and NPN to your My Account profile settings. Learn more.
- To start quotes, your Account Owner must set up the integrations your agency uses in My Agency Settings:

What the Overview tab does
The Overview tab provides a centralized, action-focused view of an Individual Record. It brings together key information, recent activity, and common actions so you can quickly understand a contact and take the next step without navigating across multiple tabs.
Use this tab to:
- Get a quick snapshot of a contact’s information and coverage
- Stay on top of tasks, notes, and recent activity
- Take action immediately, such as calling, messaging, or starting a quote
Access the Overview tab
- Go to an Individual Record.
- Select the Overview tab.
Use the Overview tab
The Overview tab is designed to help you quickly review information and take action.
Take action
Use the Take Action section to perform common actions directly from the Overview tab.
Available actions may vary based on your agency's subscription package and system configuration.
You can:

Call a contact
- Available with the Elevate subscription package only

Send a message
- SMS messaging is available for all subscription packages

Send an email
- Available for all subscription packages
- Uses your device's default email client (such as Outlook or Gmail), which opens when you select the email option and must be set up on your computer

Start a quote
- Available for all subscription packages
- Required integrations must be set up by your Account Manager

Send ACA forms (Consent to Contact and Attestations)
- Available for all subscription packages

Send Scope of Appointment (SOA) forms
- Available for all subscription packages

Send Rx Collect requests
- Available for Accelerate and Elevate subscription packages only
Review key information and coverage
The Overview tab displays important details pulled from across the record, including:
- Personal and contact information
- Client details
- Custom field data
The In-Force Policies section shows active policies associated with the contact, allowing you to quickly confirm coverage and identify carriers and plan types.
Stay on top of work
Use the right-hand panels to manage ongoing work:
To Do
- View open and overdue tasks
- Add new tasks
Pinned Note
- Highlight important information for quick reference
- Add or update a pinned note
When to use other tabs
The Overview tab is intended for quick visibility and action. To view full details or make changes, use the appropriate tabs:
- Detail - update personal and contact information
- Policies - create and manage associated Policy Records
- Activities - view, create, and manage Activities
- Notes - view, create, and manage notes
- Emails - review email history and campaigns
