This article explains how to access, customize, save, and reuse signature template rows in the Enhanced Email Editor. Prebuilt signature templates are available and can be used to create consistent signature and social media sections across email templates and campaigns.
Requirements
- Email Marketing must be activated in your agency's AMS+ account.
- Only the Account Owner can activate it. Learn more.
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User.
- You must be assigned to a Security Group with the Manage Email Marketing permission.
What is a signature template?
A signature template is a reusable content element that can be added to email campaigns sent through Email Marketing > Servicing.
Prebuilt signature and social media rows are available under Rows > Signature Templates in the Enhanced Email Editor.
After placing a prebuilt row into your email, customize the content to match your agency's branding and update links in the social media block. You can then save the row for reuse in future emails.
Access signature templates
- Go to Email Marketing > Servicing page.
- Select the Template Library tab.
- Select the Create New Template to create a new email template or select an existing one from the template list.
- Select Rows in the email editor's right-hand panel, then "Signature Templates" from the dropdown.
You will see different options depending on the selected recipient type:
- If "Individual":
- "Individual Signature Row"
- "Web Links Row"
- If "Policy":
- "Policy Signature Row"
- "Web Links Row"
- If "Agent":
- "Web Links Row"
Each option is tailored to a specific recipient type ("send to"), ensuring the appropriate details are displayed for the selected audience.
Place a pre-built row into the email template, customize the content, and save the row for reuse in future emails.
Customize a signature template
- Go to Email Marketing > Servicing page.
- Select the Template Library tab.
- Select the Create New Template to create a new email template or select an existing one from the template list.
- Select Rows in the email editor's right-hand panel, then "Signature Templates" from the dropdown.
- Drag and drop a signature template into the email.
- Customize the content:
- Add text
- Adjust formatting
- Insert images
- Update merge tag fields
- Insert URLs
- When finished, select the signature template row, then select the Save icon to store it for reuse.
Edit a signature template
To edit a saved signature template, follow the same steps above, but select "My Saved Rows" instead of "Signature Templates" from the dropdown.
Drag and drop the saved row into the email template and make your changes. When finished, select the Save icon.
When saving, you will be prompted to save the row as a new saved row. AMS+ does not overwrite existing saved rows.
If needed, delete the previous version of the row from "My Saved Rows" to avoid duplicates.
Insert a signature template into an email campaign
- Create new or open an existing email campaign in the email editor.
- Drag and drop the signature row into the email from:
- "Signature Templates" for pre-built rows, or
- "My Saved Rows" for previously customized templates
