This article explains how to create, manage, and insert saved content when building emails using the Legacy Email Editor in AMS+. Saved content is used in Email Marketing (Legacy campaigns) and Automated Workflow (Legacy) email actions.

Requirements
- Email Marketing or Automated Workflow must be activated in your agency's AMS+ account.
- Only the Account Owner can activate it. Learn more.
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User.
- You must be assigned to a Security Group with the Manage Email Marketing or Manage Automated Workflow permission.
What is Saved Content?
Legacy saved content is reusable email content that can be inserted into emails created with the Legacy Email Editor.
You can create:
- Text content
- Content with images
- Full email layouts
Access saved content
- Go to:
- Email Marketing > Servicing or
- Automated Workflow > Servicing
- Select the Legacy Content tab.

From the Saved Content tab, you can create, edit, delete, and insert saved content.
Create saved content
- Select the New Content button.
- Enter a name in the Content Name field.

- Select a value in the Message Type field.
- Select the Save & Edit Content button.
- Enter and format the email message in the Legacy Email Editor.

- Select the Save Content button.
- The selected "Message Type" determines when the content is available in the editor.
- You can create text, images, or full email layouts using the Legacy Email Editor.
Edit saved content
Note: Changing the "Message Type" resets the content. Existing content will be lost when the type is changed.
- Select a saved content item from the list.
- Select the Edit Content Details button.

- Update the content in the Legacy Email Editor.
- Select the Save Content button.
Delete saved content
- Open the saved content item.
- Select the Delete button.
Insert saved content
- Open an email in the Legacy Email Editor.
- Select the Saved Content option in the toolbar.
- In the dropdown menu, select a saved content item.

- The content is inserted into the email.
- Saved content appears based on the selected "Message Type".
- Content created for a specific type only appears in matching email contexts.
- If the Saved Content option is not visible in the editor, try clearing your browser cache.
Limitations of saved content
- Changes to saved content do not update previously created or sent emails.
- Attachments can’t be added to saved content.
- Use links to external files instead.
