This article explains how to send test emails for Email Marketing campaigns in AMS+. Test emails allow you to review email content before sending it through email campaigns and enhanced workflow actions.
Requirements
- Email Marketing must be activated in your agency's AMS+ account.
- Only the Account Owner can activate it. Learn more.
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User.
- You must be assigned to a Security Group with the Sales Enablement Visible, Manage Users, and Manage Email Marketing permissions.
Send a test email for an email campaign
- Go to Email Marketing > Servicing.
- Do one of the following:
- Select the New Campaign button to create a new campaign.
- Go to the Email Campaigns tab and select an existing campaign with a "DRAFT", "PAUSED", or "PENDING" status.
- On the Edit Email(s) step, select the Test Email(s) button.
- The email content must be created before sending a test email.
- If no email exists, create at least one email first.

- In the Test Email(s) section, enter your email address.
To send to multiple recipients, separate each email address with a comma.
- Select the Send Test Email button.
- All emails in the campaign are sent
- Drip delays are ignored
- Mock data is used for:
- Merge Tags (Enhanced)
- Variable Data (Legacy)
- Sample values may include:
- "Kelsey" for Individual data fields
- "Brett" for the email "From Name"
- Check your email inbox to view the sample email.
- If your email account is connected to AMS+, you can view it in Mailbox View.
- Otherwise, open your external email provider (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.).
If updates are needed:
- Return to the campaign.
- Edit the email.
- Save changes.
- Send another test email.
