Use supported image formats
- Use .png or .jpg formats: Use ".png" for logos and graphics, and ".jpg" for photographs.
- Avoid .bmp and .tiff files: These formats are not recommended because they may not display correctly or could slow email load times.
-
Use GIFs thoughtfully: Animated GIFs (.gif) can boost engagement and visual appeal, but use them sparingly and with intent.
- Large GIFs may increase load times or be clipped by inboxes.
- Some email clients may only display the first frame.
- If used, keep file size as small as possible and ensure the first frame communicates key information clearly.
- Optimize file size: Keep image files under 1 MB when possible to prevent emails from loading slowly or getting clipped.
