Overview
All Policy records have a Coverage Type. The Coverage Type indicates the nature of the Policy record and changes the Field Set (a grouping of data fields designed to capture relevant coverage information for different policy types). Examples of Coverage Types include “Health-Group”, “Life”, “Med Supp”, “ACA”, “Annuity”, “MAPD”, and “Dental”. You can modify Coverage Types at the account level in Settings > Servicing > Data & Custom Fields.
You must belong to a Security Group with the “Data & Custom Fields” Administrative permission to add, edit, or remove Coverage Types.

Additional settings for Coverage Types
Coverage Types are widely used throughout AMS+ and have an additional mass update setting.

Mass Update |
You can mass update all records with one option to another. This cannot be undone, so make sure to double-check before you make the update. Example: Updating all Policies with the status of "Health” to "Life". All the Policies with the Coverage Type of "Health" will be updated to "Life". |
