Overview
In AMS+, all SMS texts are sent from the agency’s default phone number. If your agency has two or more phone numbers, purchased or ported, you can change the default SMS phone number for your user account. This allows you to customize your SMS-sending preferences within AMS+ according to your needs.

Setting your SMS phone number
Note: Your SMS phone number can’t display a different caller ID. This is an FCC regulation. The SMS number has to be associated with a purchased or ported VoIP number.
- Go to the My Account > Phone > Caller ID tab.
- In the SMS Phone Number section, select the dropdown list and choose the phone number you want to use for your SMS phone number.
- You can only choose from VoIP numbers.
- Save.
