Overview
Using Email Forwarding and Outlook Email Sync, you can turn your emails into activities or save them in AMS+. In AMS+, you can let the system associate incoming activities and emails to existing records or do it yourself.
If the system can't associate, incoming activities or emails become "unassociated". All this means is that you'll need to manually associate them to new or existing records in your account.

Common questions
How do I keep activities or emails from coming in unassociated?
Keep your records up-to-date with email addresses. AMS+ checks your account for any email address that matches the email address(es) in the incoming activity or email. If it can't find a match, the activity or email will become unassociated.
