Who this article is for: Existing AMS+ agencies currently using Sales Records or Sales Record-related features that have not yet been upgraded to an Enhanced Records subscription package.
Note: If your agency joined AgencyBloc after May 7, 2026, or you’re not currently using Sales Records, this article doesn’t apply to you. This feature is being rolled out in phases. The steps below will help you prepare before your account is upgraded.
What’s changing
When your account is upgraded to Enhanced Records:
- Sales Records (also called Lead Records) will be phased out
- Individual Records will be the one record type for both leads and clients
- Leads will appear under Individual Leads, a view of Individual Records filtered by the Leads category
This change will apply to Individual Records only.
How to prepare
Steps 1. 2, and 3 can be completed at any time before your account is upgraded. Step 4 should be completed immediately after.
Step 1: Audit your Individual Types
Since Sales Records share types with Individual Records, your existing Individual Types likely include the types you’ve been using to track leads. Review them now so you’re ready to categorize immediately after your upgrade.
For each Individual Type, decide: should it be Leads or Clients?
Before you move on, you should be able to check these off:
- I know which Individual Types my agency uses for leads
- I know which Individual Types my agency uses for clients
- I’ve noted which Types may not need a category at all (e.g., X-Prospect, X-Client)
Note: Users don’t see category assignments when selecting the Type on a record. Make sure your team knows which Types to use for leads versus clients before the upgrade occurs.
Step 2: Bulk update the Type on your Sales Records
Before converting your Sales Records, make sure they have the correct Individual Type assigned. Some older Sales Records may not have a Type selected. If those records are converted without one, they won’t automatically appear on the Individual Leads page after your upgrade.
Using the lead Types you identified in Step 1, bulk update your Sales Records before conversion.
After conversion, Individual Records with a Type assigned to the Leads category will automatically appear on the Individual Leads page once your account has been upgraded to an Enhanced Records subscription package.
To bulk update your Sales Records:
- Go to a Lead List in AMS+.
- Select the records you want to update.
- Select Bulk Update.
- Update the Individual Type field.
- Submit.
- Repeat for each Lead List you use.
Step 3: Convert your Sales Records
You don’t need to wait for the upgrade. You can convert at any time using any of these methods:
- One at a time from a Sales Record
- In bulk from a Lead List
- Automatically using Sales Workflows (if included in your subscription package)
If your agency currently relies on Sales Record-specific features, speak with your CSM before converting to understand how those features will be handled under your new package.

After your account is upgraded
Step 4: Categorize your Individual Types in Data Administration
Go to My Agency Settings > Data Administration > Individual Type and assign each Type to a category using the plan from Step 1.
Work through your list:
- Assign lead Types to the Leads category.
- Assign client Types to the Clients category.
- Confirm your converted Individual Records appear on the Individual Leads page automatically.
See: How to set up Individual Records as leads or clients in AMS+
Going forward: Add new prospects directly as Individual Records, assign a Type in the Leads category, and they’ll appear on the Individual Leads page.
