This article explains how to create, schedule, and manage Email Marketing campaigns in AMS+ using Servicing Email Marketing.
Requirements
- Email Marketing must be activated in your agency's AMS+ account.
- Only the Account Owner can activate it. Learn more.
- You must be logged into AMS+ as an Agency User.
- You must be assigned to a Security Group with the Manage Email Marketing permission.
Create an email campaign
- Go to the Email Marketing Servicing page.
- Select the New Campaign button to start the campaign building process.
- On the Edit Email(s) step, enter the Campaign Details.
This includes the Campaign Name, Send To (recipient type), Number Of Emails, From Name, and Reply To Email.
- On the Edit Email page, choose how you want to create the email:
- Start from scratch - Start with a clean slate. Your agency’s logo and background, header, article title, link text, and footer text colors will automatically populate in the template from My Agency Settings > Email Branding.
- Create from Library - Choose an existing email template. You can edit the content to personalize it for your campaign.
- Enter the Email Subject.
- Select the Save button.
- Compose the email using the available formatting and layout options.
- Available options depend on the email editor in use: Legacy or Enhanced.
- For instructions on building emails using the Enhanced Email Editor, see How to use the Enhanced Email Editor for Servicing Email Marketing in AMS+.
- If you selected "2" or "3" in the Number of Emails field, select the Edit This Email button and compose the next email.
- After creating each email, review and set the Drip Delay.
- This determines when each email is sent.
- You can space each email out by up to 10 days, 10 weeks, or 10 months from each other.
- After creating all emails, choose one of the following:
- Select the Save & Continue button to proceed to the next step and define the campaign's recipients.
- Select the Save & Exit button to finish setup later.
- Select the Send Test Email button to send a test email to yourself or others.
- On the Define Recipients step, define and create the campaign's recipient list.
- By default, your campaign will send emails to all contacts that match the selected recipient type specified by the Send To field.
- You can use filters to narrow the recipient list and target specific contacts.
- You can remove specific recipients after creating the list.
- If someone is not showing up on the recipient list, check to make sure that person has an Agent Record or Individual Record in AMS+ with a valid email address.
- Recipients that have opted out will not appear on the recipient list.
- Select the Save & Create button.
- On the Schedule & Send step, review the Email Campaign Recap, Campaign Details, and Recipient Details.
As you’re reviewing, if you need to make any last second changes, you have the option to edit the email content, the campaign details, and the recipient details from this page.
- In the When? field dropdown, select "Now" or "Later".
- "Now" sends it after selecting the Send button.
- "Later" prompts you to specify a date and time (Central Time).
- Select the Send button.
Sending limits and timing rules
- When scheduling a campaign to send "Now", there is a 10-minute delay before emails start sending.
- Emails scheduled at or after 7:00 p.m. Central Time are sent the next day.
- Remaining emails resume sending at 6:00 a.m. Central Time the next day.
- There is a daily limit of 1000 emails.
- AMS+ sends up to 1000 emails per day until all emails have been sent.
Viewing sent emails
You can review sent emails and email content by record:
- Go to the record (Agent, Individual, Group, or Policy).
- Select Emails > Outgoing Emails.
Email editors
Servicing Email Marketing supports two email editors:
Servicing Email Marketing transitioned from the Legacy Email Editor to the Enhanced Email Editor to provide greater control and flexibility when composing email content.
- Campaigns created and saved before 4/1/2026 use the Legacy Email Editor.
- Campaigns created on or after 4/1/2026 use the Enhanced Email Editor.
Legacy Email Editor
You can either start from scratch or create from your email template library. See How to use the Legacy Email Editor in AMS+ for more details.
Enhanced Email Editor
You can either start from scratch or create from your email template library. See How to use the Enhanced Email Editor in AMS+ for more details.
Also, when building an email with this editor, you will have the option to select a pre-built email template.
Understanding campaign details
In campaign details, you specify who will receive your emails, how many emails will be sent, and who will receive replies from recipients.
| Campaign Detail | Description |
|---|---|
| Send To | Your campaign can send emails to contacts that have a corresponding record in AMS+ with a valid email address. Think about who should receive the email, then select the appropriate recipient type in Send To. See the Recipient type section in this article for more information. |
| Number of Emails | Choose how many emails the campaign will send. If you want the campaign to send multiple emails over time, select "2" or "3" so you can set a drip delay. |
| From Name | This name displays when recipients view the email in their inbox. Use a name your recipients will recognize. You can use the servicing agent's name, your marketer's name, or a custom name. |
| Reply to Email | Replies from campaign recipients go to this email address. You can use the servicing agent's email, your marketer's email, or a custom email address. Notify the servicing agent or team member ahead of time so they can prepare for incoming questions. |
Recipient type
The recipient type selected in the Send To field in Campaign Details determines who will receive your emails. You can send campaigns to the following recipient types.
| Recipient Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Individual | All Individual Records in your AMS+ account. |
| Primary Contact of Groups | For every Group Record, you can designate an Individual Record as its primary contact. The email campaign sends emails to that Individual Record's email address. |
| Group Individuals | All Individual Records associated with a Group Record. |
| Policyholders | Policy Records in your AMS+ account can be associated with Individual Records. The campaign sends emails to those Individual Records' email addresses. |
| Primary Contact of Group Policies | Policy Records associated with a Group Record. The email campaign sends emails to the Group Record's primary contact. |
| Group Policy Individuals |
All Individual Records that have a Policy Enrollment on a Group Policy Record. Note: You can use a Policy Enrollment's Status and Election to filter your recipient list. |
| Agent | All Agent Records in your AMS+ account. |
