How to assign caller ID to area codes
You can set up different caller IDs to automatically show when you call specific area codes. Just assign a phone number to be the caller ID for each area code you want.
The "Active Caller ID" is the default number used for all other area codes that aren’t assigned.
To make a number the Active (default) Caller ID, select the ‘Set As Caller ID’ link in the Actions column.
Example:
In this example, we’ve added a California number for California area codes, a New York number for New York area codes, and are adding an Illinois number for Illinois area codes. For any other area codes, the Active Caller ID (default number) will be used.
