Activity Type
If you want an Activity to show up on your AMS+ Calendar, it must have a due date. If you want that same Activity to be marked as busy on your Calendar, its Activity Type option must be assigned to the Appointment category in Data Administration settings.
To add an Activity Type option to the Appointment category:
- Go to My Agency Settings.
- Find and open the Data Administration setting.
- Choose Activity Type in the Select a field to administer dropdown menu.
- Locate an Activity Type and expand the Category dropdown menu. Choose the Appointment option.
Rinse and repeat if you want to assign other Activity Types to the Appointment category.
- Select the Save button.
Status Options
There are Individual and Policy status dispositions. You might have a client who is "Active" (Individual Status) with two in-force Policies and another that was "Termed" (Policy Status). Let's look at how to customize both options.
Lead and Individual Statuses
Status options for Lead and Individual records are configured in the same place.
To create or edit Lead/Individual Status options:
- Go to My Agency Settings.
- Find and open the Data Administration setting.
- Choose Individual Status in the Select a field to administer dropdown menu.
- Add, edit, and re-order the status options.
The status options you see here will be listed in Lead and Individual dropdowns.
Policy Status
To add, edit, or designate a Policy Status for conversion:
- Go to My Agency Settings.
- Find and open the Data Administration setting.
- Choose Policy Status in the Select a field to administer dropdown menu.
- Decide which status options you want to use for the conversion process and check the Conversion box.
You can add and edit status options here as well.
- Select the Save button.
Legacy components
The following content applies only to accounts still using Sales Records. If you're unsure whether this applies to you, check your subscription package on the Subscription page. Accounts on Enhanced Records will show a package type that includes "+ Enhanced Records" (e.g., Accelerate + Enhanced Records). If your package does not include "+ Enhanced Records," this section applies to you.
Legacy components in this section:
- Shared fields for Sales Records — accounts using Sales Records
- Policy Status conversion for Sales Records — accounts using Sales Records
Shared fields for Sales Records
The Activity Type and Lead/Individual Status settings configured in this article also apply to Sales Records. Changes made here will be reflected across both record types.
Policy Status conversion for Sales Records
When a lead results in a successful sale, you can either convert the Sales Record into a new Individual Record or merge it with an existing one. During this transition, all pertinent information and Lead Policies are carried over to the Individual. Please note, only Lead Policies that meet specific status criteria are included in this transfer.
A Lead Policy qualifies for transfer only if its status is designated for conversion. You can make these designations using the Conversion checkbox in the Policy Status settings described above.
