[Zapier] Policies

Using Zapier, you can create new Policies in AMS+ when something happens in a third-party app, or send Policy data to a third-party app when something happens in AMS+.

Create Policy

Using the Create Policy Zap Action, you can create the full details of Policies within your AMS+ account.

Field Description Formatting Rules
Policyholder Type

The type of policyholder that will be associated with the new Policy.

  • Required to create a new Policy.
  • Format as “Individual” or “Group”.
Policyholder - ID

The ID of the policyholder that will be associated with the new Policy.

  • Required to create a new Policy.
  • Format as a number.
  • Must belong to an existing Individual or Group record in AMS+.
Carrier - Name

The name of the Carrier that will be associated with the new Policy.

  • Required to create a new Policy.
  • Must belong to an existing Carrier record in AMS+.
Carrier - ID

The ID of the Carrier that will be associated with the new Policy.

  • Required to create a new Policy.
  • Ignore if using Carrier - Name.
  • Format as a number.
  • Must belong to an existing Carrier record in AMS+.

Policy Number

The policy number of the new Policy.

The coverage type of the new Policy.

  • Required to create a new Policy.

The app submit date of the new Policy.
Effective Date The effective date of the new Policy.
Renewal Date The renewal date of the new Policy.

Signed By - First Name

The first name of the new Policy’s signed by agent.

  • Ignore if using Signed By - ID.
  • Must match with an existing Agent record in AMS+.
Signed By - Last Name

The last name of the new Policy’s signed by agent.

  • Ignore if using Signed By - ID.
  • Must match with an existing Agent record in AMS+.
Signed By - Middle Name

The middle name of the new Policy’s signed by agent.

The name of the agency that is associated with the new Policy’s servicing agent.

The ID of the agency that is associated with the new Policy’s servicing agent.

The agent number of the new Policy’s servicing agent.

Additional Agent 1 - First Name

The first name of the new Policy’s additional agent 1.

Custom Fields

You will also have the option to map data from third-party apps to active Policy Custom Fields in your AMS+ account.

You may have up to 25 custom fields. If you need more than 25, contact the Client Success Team for assistance. These fields will appear in the same order as they do in AMS+.
