API
With this update, we’ve expanded our API to support the setting and retrieval of custom fields for agents, groups, individuals, and policies. You can also set checkbox list custom fields via API as well. See API documentation for more details.
Quick Search & Advanced Search
With this update, you can now use nicknames in Quick Search and Advanced Search to find individuals. You can also use nicknames to find agents with Quick Search.
User settings
The Accessible Agents field is now required if you’re creating a user with access-only permissions. Without an accessible agent, the user would not have access to their book of business.
Getting Started guides
In the Help Center, we’ve updated our Getting Started guides to better align with our training processes so you know exactly what to do when starting AgencyBloc. Use these guides to kick off your training in AgencyBloc and turn into a power user in no time.

Agent records
Duplicate detection
With this update, AgencyBloc now detects duplicate agent records in your book of business. See the Duplicate Detection article for more details on matching criteria.
- When creating new, AgencyBloc will alert you to agent records when it detects duplicate information being added.
- When viewing existing, you’ll see a yellow notification at the bottom of the record, alerting you to a potential duplicate.
Merging agent records
Once you’ve reviewed and identified a duplicate, you can merge it into the original. To do this, you’ll need to be assigned to a security group that has certain administration permissions.
Merge with care because merges cannot be undone, and agent records are tied to many other features throughout the application. See the Merging Duplicate Agents article for more details on impacted record details and features.
Note: If you want to merge agent records for reasons other than to remove duplicates, such as moving a book of business, please contact our Client Success Team. We may have tools that are better suited to your needs.
