Overview
The Commission Received by Policy and the Commission Received by Group reports show the dates and totals for commission payments received for each policy or group. This article covers the preconfigured standard reports and includes Custom Reporting recipes. You can use these recipes to build your own versions of the Commission Received by Policy and the Commission Received by Group reports.
Note: Only accounts with Commissions+ can access and use AMS+'s commission features.

Received by Policy
Standard Report details
With the Commission Received by Policy report, you can download a list of group policies, individual policies, or all policies and the dates and commissions received for each policy. You can use this report to find missing commissions. If you run a range and see blank cells in the report output, it could mean that your agency didn’t receive a payment for that month.
Custom Reporting recipe
With Custom Reporting, you can get at the same data as the Standard Report but you’ll have more flexibility to choose the columns and filters for your report. Below is a recipe to help you get started.
- Select 'Policies' report type
- You cannot build this report using other report types. The Policy Commission Settings fields are only available in the ‘Policies’ report type.
- Add report filters (optional)

Received by Group
Standard Report details
With the Commission Received by Group report, you can download a list of your group policyholders. This list will show the total commissions you received from each group based on the policies they have with you. You can see which groups bring in the most commissions to your agency as a whole, rather than reviewing each policy by itself.

- If you want to exclude Red Edits from your custom report, add the 'Exception' field to your report filters and set its operator to 'is empty'.
