Overview
The Commission Received/Paid report shows the commissions your agency received from each carrier totaled across your whole agency. This article covers the preconfigured standard report and includes a Custom Reporting recipe. You can use the recipe to build your own versions of the Commission Received/Paid report.
Note: Only accounts with Commissions+ can access and use AMS+'s commission features.

Standard Report details
With the Commission Received/Paid report, your report download will include the total commissions your agency received from each carrier by coverage type, the total commissions paid to your agents, and the net commission.
Example: See how much commission was received for PDP vs. Med Supps. vs. Medicare Advantage plans that were all written with Humana.
Custom Reporting recipe
With Custom Reporting, you can access the same data as the Standard Report but you’ll have more flexibility to choose the columns and filters for your report. Below is a recipe to help you get started.
- Select 'Policies' report type
- You can build this report using other report types. Visit the Custom Commission Reports article to learn how to use different report types to pull the data you want.
- Add report filters (optional)

Commission Entries
- Exception
- If you want to exclude Red Edits from your custom report, add the 'Exception' field to your report filters and set its operator to 'is empty'. If you want to include only Red Edits, set its operator to 'is not empty'. To learn more about filters and operators, visit the Adding Filters to Custom Reports article.
